The interpreter provides bytecode execution facilities for the Java language. It is responsible for interpreting a java file to a VM instruction sequence by interpreting the instructions in the byte stream. Interpreter are usually compiled into machine code and run from memory (or one of the JVM’s memory spaces). Java Virtual System is a native interpreter. It runs at application level and does not modify the application program in any way.
